Orientation Map Generator

This utility allows the user to produce a textfile containing a synthetic texture or a synthetic EBSD Map. It is possible to simply have a list of grains or an advanced voronoi tesselation that avoid grains with a high aspect ratio. After this it is possible to add coherent 60°<111> twins to divide the grains by two. In the last step ferrite nuclei can be introduced at triple point assuming a Kurdjomov Sachs orientation relationship. The nuclei growth is controlled both by a Euclidian growth in the grains with which it doesn't share an OR, and then by a Potts model (Montecarlo)

GB to Subset

This utility allows the user to produce a subset that contains all pixels adjacent to a grain boundary

CPR -> CTF

This utility allows the conversion of many CPR files to CTF at once! It was developed to provide Channel5 user a quick way to export data to DREAM3D

Add phase

This utility allows to add a new phase to an open Channel5 project. Then the project need to be saved for the phase to be permanently added. This may be use to separate permanently phases which have the same crystal structures:

• primary alpha and secondary alpha
• martensite and ferrite
• etc

ANG -> CTF

This program converts ANG files into CTF and take care of the hexagonal grid. It also converts the reference frame (Which channel 5 import module does not do correctly).

It has to be noted that if the original file had an 'HexGrid' the resulting map will be distored in Y by a factor equal to 1/cos(30) (approx. 1.15).

Image to subset

This program load a bitmap image into the BS of an EBSD map. It can also make a subset from any color in a bitmap and be used to produce "masks" generated outside Channel5.

Download Requires Channel5 32bits (v11) licence, Copy into Channel5 directory, Register the program in Manager and drag drop the project to work with.
